Sleep

Sleeping in his crib is going great! He has slept the past two night all night in his crib. When he wakes up I just go pat his back a few times and he's back to sleep for another couple of hours. It's great! I'm amazed at how well he's doing. Yaaaay!

Update

                                                                                                                               After a looong month of horrible sleep I've decided today to be really gung-ho about getting Zeppy sleeping in his crib. For his entire life he's slept for the most part in bed with me. Occasionally in his crib or on a blanket on the floor, etc. But he's never been good about soothing himself back to sleep, so sleeping with him is an all night affair for me. Constantly nursing, rocking, the list goes on. This is why I've been lazy and chose to sleep with him instead of letting him sleep alone in his crib. So far tonight has been ok. He's had a couple good long stretches of sleep and has woken up about 5 or 6 times. I am going to let him cry a few minutes when he wakes up so he will eventually get the idea that it's ok to be in the crib with out me. He'll get it!

Two more videos

Chippy "Parking his car in the garage". He was walking in his walker in the kitchen and Andy looked over and he was walking under the desk just like he was trying to park the walker under there. Very cute. 

This one is of Chip and his amazing outfit that Andy had him in when I came home from a day of running around town. It was the funniest thing to find him dressed like this. Silly dad!

In the one where he's laughing I'm flipping my hair from side to side and he thinks that's hilarious! He is even better at jumping now then he was a couple of weeks ago when the jumping video was taken. He's such a cutie pie.

Every day it seems my little boy is getting bigger, smarter and more handsome! Hopefully this blog will help keep everyone we love involved in these big changes. I'll try to post as often as I can and keep you updated with recent photos and videos. 

Today has been a funky day for both me and Chippy. I think we are sleep deprived. :) For the past month or so he hasn't been sleeping good at all which means I sleep even worse. He naps maybe 3 times a day for 20-30 minutes each time then doesn't go to bed till midnight or like last night...1:30!!! He refuses to stay asleep at night. We take 45 minutes to get him to sleep for him to just wake up 5 minutes later. He sleeps pretty good once he gets to sleep at night then wakes up around 3 and is restless and not really sleeping for the rest of the night. Gaaaaah. I need a break. If I could get a babysitter I would just sleep for a good 4 hour stretch (which might sound like nothing but it would be heaven to me). Thankfully he is usually a happy baby even when he doesn't sleep. He is such a sweet boy. He gives me smiles and belly laughs all day every day. He also is big on kisses lately. He will grab both sides of my face and kiss me open mouthed right on my lips. It's the sweetest thing. 

Well I have a headache and can't look at the screen any longer but I will post more later.
